From his Sundance-winning debut Sin Nombre to his Emmy-winning masterpiece True Detective, Fukunaga has pushed the boundaries of modern storytelling. Whether capturing the Gothic mood of Jane Eyre or the raw intensity of child soldiers in Beasts of No Nation, his work is defined by its humanity and masterful long-takes. In 2021, he made history as the first American to direct a James Bond film with the global hit No Time to Die.
