[English] Ryusei Yokohama is one of Japan’s most prominent leading actors. A world-class Kyokushin Karate champion, he first gained stardom in A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love (2019). He has since transitioned from a teen idol to a serious dramatic actor through acclaimed films like Wandering Moon (2022) and Village (2023). In 2025, he reached a career pinnacle, starring in the NHK Taiga drama Beraboh and the film National Treasure, which was celebrated at the Cannes Film Festival.
