Synopsis / あらすじ

Synopsis: Seven British retirees attracted to “exotic luxurious resort” advertisement arrive at Jaipur, India’s Marigold Hotel. However, hotel actually dilapidated, managed by enthusiastic young Sonny (Dev Patel). Evelyn (Judi Dench) seeks new job, Douglas (Bill Nighy) pursues new love, Muriel (Maggie Smith) confronts prejudices, Graham (Tom Wilkinson) meets first love. Through Indian vibrant culture and warm people, elderly discover new life possibilities. Film questions: Does age limit new beginnings? Can different cultures understand each other?
