Synopsis / あらすじ

Synopsis: Mason is six years old in a small Texas town. His parents are divorced. His mother Olivia is raising him and his sister Samantha alone while returning to school to improve her circumstances. His father Mason Sr. visits when he can, driving in from Houston, still figuring out his own life. Over the next twelve years, Mason moves through schools, stepfathers, friendships, first relationships, and the slow accumulation of a self. Olivia puts herself through university, remarries twice, builds a career, and watches her children leave. Mason Sr. grows up alongside his son. The family changes shape again and again — and the film records all of it.
