[English] Dame Julie Andrews DBE is a British actress, singer, and author, widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers of all time. With a legendary four-octave soprano voice, Andrews began her career as a child performer in British music halls before conquering Broadway in the 1950s with The Boy Friend and My Fair Lady. She became a global icon through two of cinema’s most beloved musicals: Mary Poppins (1964), for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, and The Sound of Music (1965), which became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
