[English] Keanu Reeves (b. September 2, 1964, Beirut, Lebanon) is a Canadian actor, producer, and musician, one of the most enduring and beloved leading men in modern Hollywood. Born in Lebanon to an English mother and a father of Hawaiian, Chinese, and other descent, he grew up largely in Toronto, Canada, where he began acting on stage and in television before moving into film in the mid-1980s.

Reeves first became a star with a run of hits across genres: the time-travel comedy Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), the surfing crime thriller Point Break (1991), and the runaway-bus action film Speed (1994), which established him as a bankable action lead.
