David Spritz is a popular Chicago weatherman earning a massive salary to report forecasts he doesn’t even create. Despite his local fame, he is a target of public ridicule—constantly pelted with fast food by strangers on the street. His personal life is a storm of failure: he lives in the shadow of his Pulitzer Prize-winning father, his ex-wife has moved on, and his children are struggling with their own deep traumas. When a high-profile job offer in New York promises a fresh start, David sees a chance for redemption. However, he soon realizes that prestige and a million-dollar salary can’t fix a man who has lost his internal compass. In this darkly comic character study, David must stop pretending it’s sunny and finally face the turbulent reality of who he is.
