Synopsis /
[English / 英語] In the vibrant Barbieland, every day is perfect—until “Stereotypical Barbie” is suddenly struck by an existential crisis, manifesting as intrusive thoughts of death and the unthinkable reality of flat feet. To restore her perfect life, she embarks on a journey to the Real World, accompanied by a lovestruck Ken. There, she encounters Gloria and her daughter Sasha, whose human struggles ripple into Barbie’s world. Meanwhile, Ken discovers the concept of patriarchy and brings it back to Barbieland, turning it into his own “Kendom.” To save her home, Barbie must navigate the chaos of the transformed Barbieland while discovering the true, imperfect meaning of being human. The film poses essential questions: What is the cost of perfection? What defines our identity? And how do we embrace the beautiful mess of being ourselves?
