Synopsis / あらすじ

[English / 英語] Greg is a high schooler determined to remain a “socially invisible” outsider, avoiding deep connections with anyone. His only friend is Earl, whom he casually calls a “co-worker” as they spend their time making bizarre, loving parodies of classic films. This carefully built wall crumbles when Greg’s mother forces him to spend time with Rachel, a classmate recently diagnosed with leukemia. Though Greg warns the audience from the start that he is no hero and this story won’t end well, this deeply moving film explores what happens when a fiercely self-protective teenager is finally forced to take another person’s reality seriously.
