April 8, 1968, Chicago) is an American actress, producer, and activist, celebrated for the naturalism, honesty, and lack of vanity in her performances across four decades of film and television. She was born into a renowned acting family — the daughter of actor Lewis Arquette and sister of Rosanna, Richmond, Alexis, and David Arquette — and began her screen career as a teenager, making her film debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987).

Arquette became a cult favorite in independent and auteur cinema of the 1990s. She played the tender-hearted Alabama Whitman opposite Christian Slater in Tony Scott and Quentin Tarantino’s True Romance (1993), appeared in Tim Burton’s Ed Wood (1994), and starred in David Lynch’s surreal Lost Highway (1997), along with films including Flirting with Disaster (1996), Bringing Out the Dead (1999), and Stigmata (1999).
