Synopsis / あらすじ
[English / 英語] Buster Moon, a dapper koala and eternal optimist who manages a once-grand theater now facing foreclosure, launches a singing competition to save his legacy. Due to a typo by his loyal assistant, Miss Crawly, the prize money is mistakenly advertised as $100,000—a sum Buster doesn’t possess. The audition attracts a diverse cast of dreamers: Meena, a shy elephant with immense talent but crippling stage fright; Rosita, a domestic pig overwhelmed by the demands of raising 25 piglets; Johnny, a soulful gorilla reluctant to follow his father’s criminal footsteps; Ash, a punk-rock porcupine seeking her own artistic voice; Mike, a small mouse with big ambitions and an even bigger attitude; and Gunter, a flamboyant pig who partners with Rosita. As Buster’s facade crumbles under the weight of his mounting lies and the literal collapse of the theater, he and the contestants must decide if their passion for music is enough to rebuild from the ruins.
