April 19, 1979, Los Angeles) is an American actress, singer, producer, and entrepreneur, known for her radiant screen presence and her versatility across drama, romantic comedy, and ensemble films. The daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and musician-actor Bill Hudson, she was raised largely by her mother and Hawn’s longtime partner, actor Kurt Russell. She made her film debut in Desert Blue (1998) and took supporting roles before her life-changing breakthrough.

Hudson rose to stardom as Penny Lane, the enigmatic “Band-Aid,” in Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous (2000).
